Heather Pritchard has always loved the water and been a competition swimmer in her younger years, she is now suffering from multiple sclerosis MS she was living in Broome and working as a Tour Guide/Bus driver when she decided to go back to Perth and study for her Certificate in small business management with the extra knowledge and speaking to the right people she now has 3 Australian Trade Marks an Australian Registered Design and Patents pending here in Australia and in the USA. All of this so she could share her new product Watrwing® with anyone wanting to play or train with it.

She originally fabricated a device from a real estate sign and some poly pipe that she still has in her office, while kicking her legs this device took her underwater and at the flick of a wrist she could twist and turn more easily enabling her to take a closer look at the wildlife and to swim at depths that required greater physical exertion.

Watrwing® is now being used by the NSW Institute of Sport and swimming schools around the country.

The Swimming Faculty head coach Jody Hottes said Watrwing® was the perfect tool to encourage children to take up swimming.

The business operates from Beechboro in Western Australia, and it has a number of distributors located across Australia. Watrwing® commenced in 2006 and following a successful research and development phase, the product has gone from strength to strength.
